Ingredients ½ pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter 227 grams (1 cup) brown sugar ½ cup heavy cream 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions Combine the butter, brown sugar, heavy cream and vanilla extract in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil over medium-high heat, stirring until the butter is melted and everything combined. Reduce to a simmer. Simmer gently for 1-2 minutes (without stirring) until thickened.
